Professional evolution
A track record of designing, supporting, and optimising AWS infrastructure — including the honest gap I took for family and a small business.

Independent — Amazon FBA & Family
Self-employed / Career break
Stepped out of full-time employment to run a small Amazon FBA e-commerce business and to be present for family. Honest break, intentional decision.
- •Operating a small Amazon FBA store end-to-end: sourcing, listing optimisation, P&L, returns and customer support.
- •Built operational dashboards in spreadsheets and lightweight automation to track inventory, costs and margins.
- •Using the time to keep AWS skills sharp — building public portfolio projects (serverless e-commerce, Terraform-on-AWS, k3s microservices, CI/CD) and maintaining certifications.
- •Currently looking to return to full-time engineering — open to Cloud Engineer / DevOps roles in Ireland, the UK or remote across the EU.

- •Built reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines so platform teams could provision environments self-service.
- •Owned operational documentation — runbooks, architecture diagrams and onboarding guides.
- •Collaborated with security and networking teams to get designs approved against client compliance requirements.
